Products/services: The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the JMU covers the classical areas of chemistry from inorganic, organic and physical/theoretical chemistry to approximately the same extent. In addition, research areas in biochemistry, food chemistry, pharmacy and functional materials are located here. In addition to the fundamental expertise in the core areas of the respective disciplines, the Faculty has systematically established five interdisciplinary and inter-institute research foci in recent years. These are further strengthened by the respective appointments and related measures such as financial and personnel resources and construction measures. A total of about 400 scientists and scholars conduct research at the Faculty, 38 of them professors, 14 of whom hold a chair.
