Products/services: As departmental research facility is the WIWeB the centre of the Bundeswehr for technology, safety and reliability of the materials, fuels and lubricants. Holistic, interdisciplinary service and advice on the entire life cycle of products and equipment is our main task. We are embedded in the research and technology concept of the BMVg and support the BAAINBw for development / testing and procurement of high-performance, functionally and robust systems for the armed forces. R & D priorities: lightweight materials (CFK), material protection, operating behaviour / repair of carbon fiber components, military material and surface protection technology, adhesive; understanding of the product behaviour of fuels and lubricants and novel liquids; camouflage, comfort and vectors at soldier protection equipment .
